Gerard and Anne Curran, immigrants from Ireland, opened The James Joyce in 1997 in the Old Molson Bank Building at 114 – 8th Avenue, Calgary.
Hospitality and authenticity were the key ingredients as they created a home away from home with all of the tastes and feel of a traditional Pub in Ireland. Winning many awards throughout the years for their food, the Currans have worked hard at providing new and innovative menu items while moving with the ever changing landscape of Irish cuisine.
